Maira® Cloud is the managed European hosting and operations foundation under the Maira® family. This page is the technical deep dive for decision-makers who want to understand the architecture, compliance implementation and operational practice before entering an agreement.
Architecture
Maira® Cloud is composed of three clearly separated layers. Each layer has its own compliance responsibility and a continuous audit trail runs through all of them.
Kairos, Atlas and Agora run on the top layer. Future product modules land here on the same platform primitives, without requiring changes to the underlying layers.
FHIR R4 resource services, identity and access management, role-based access control and the continuous audit trail. This is the layer where compliance becomes visible as part of product design.
European hosting, storage, backups and 24/7 monitoring. Primary production region in the Netherlands, disaster recovery and backups within the EU. No transit to non-European regions.
Every access, modification and system action is recorded. The audit trail runs through all three layers and is immutably preserved in accordance with NEN 7510 and GDPR retention periods.
Maira® is designed under NEN 7510 and ISO 27001 for information security and under GDPR for personal data processing.
Technical capabilities
Six technical capabilities covering the compliance, scalability and operational requirements of healthcare organisations.
No proprietary shadow schemas. All data lives as FHIR R4 resources in primary storage. Export is available at any time without transformation.
All production data and backups reside within the European Union, with the primary hosting region in the Netherlands. No transit to non-European regions.
NEN 7510 and ISO 27001 are embedded in the architecture. Role-based access control and audit trails are not optional modules.
Operational monitoring runs continuously by a Dutch team. Incident response procedures are documented and periodically tested.
Backups are made daily within the EU. Recovery procedures are documented with RTO and RPO targets per customer segment.
Maira® Cloud offers an API-first approach for connections with VECOZO, LSP, laboratories, referrers and collaborative networks. FHIR resources are directly accessible.
